I funnel highways to a trail
and follow the yellow, breath meadow
To my cool windless lake,
My eyes turn to the ash and the quaking aspen
and I shed my clothes
until I'm bark
Stark bare,
The breathing leaves
shaking on my head
air feeding my skin,
A naked Tree,
I dig my toes
in earth.
