I love that first picture, with the sidewalk blurred to indicate rapid movement. The shadow of the tense hand adds to a very dramatic shot.
The two perspective shots of the ground are great. The details — the cracking in the paint, the staining of the concrete, the scattered dirt and cigarette butts — bring it to life. Nice shots that each speak of people recently inhabiting these places but now gone.
The final shot, the bench, didn’t much appeal to me at first. I thought the color was great and the detail was sharp — love the tiny grafitti — but, aside from that, it seemed like an easy shot for you and a bit out of place. But there is dirt in the curves of all but a few adjacent rows of the seat. It looks like someone was just sitting on the bench and left. Taken alone, it speaks of recent life. With the other shots, it says that someone deserted the bench in a hurry.
Nice job. Individually, the pictures are all technically and artistically interesting. As a set, they tell a complete story of movement and abandonment.
