That first pic is amazing and as usual, I love the pic of Girlfriend. You know what they say, though. The first child has 100 photo albums (or is it flickr pages in this day and age) and the second child, zilch. Zip. None. I have a feeling that will not be the case with Crissy 4.0.
arjew: the first abstract one is lichen covering a rock, shot with an extension tube (which basically turns any lens into a macro).
dingo: there will be plenty of pics of the peanut. the advantage this one has over charlotte is the fact that i’m starting off with much better camera gear! 🙂
crissy: you know i really missed seeing the puking.
stooge: the third picture was shot at 50mm f/2.8 while focusing on the closest branch, which was less than a yard away. as a result the background is heavily out of focus, giving the blurry watercolor-esque tones. the only thing i did post process was to crank up the contrast a bit to make it pop more.
i’ve found you really cannot go wrong with a few droplets of water in a photo.
i have some pics of crissy with her head in the toilet from years past. i might get in trouble if i post them publicly though. perhaps a private viewing is in order?
nope kate, that was pretty much straight out of the camera. i love the low angle sun shots that get a bit of flare (that’s the little hint of a rainbow and a bluish dot/orb in the center of the photo, caused by light “abnormally” reflecting and refracting inside the lens on the way through). i bumped up the contrast and that’s about it.
