new pics

crissy actually took this photo ^^^. lucky timing to catch that column of water mid-flight. of course it was my daughter who threw it.

^^ taken a few months ago, i recently stumbled across it in the archives and liked the motion blur on the skinny little girl legs, the expression, and the ball in the frame.

“Her Chemical Romance.” taken during the “crissy blog background picture shoot” held last thursday night. i liked the negative space above her head, and the generally glamorous tone.

   My arm looks fat and freckly. Other than that, I like it.

   AND, fyi, I’m a genius photographer and that shot in Elena’s bathtub was not “luck” as you say, but the culmination of years of experience, cat-like shutter reflexes, and split second timing. So suck on that, photo boy.

   These are all awesome pics. The water is amazing in the shot of the kids. It’s made more amazing because the water seems to be the only thing in the shot with a heavy shadow.

   The middle pic is excellent. You’re right about the blur and the composition that includes the ball. I also just the rich color behind her that is, what, a newly planted tree? And the bright light that arcs above her head.

   The last shot of Crissy is beautiful. Soft, rich tones but the overall effect seems bright and sharp. And the blank space over her head really frames her face and the wine. But tell the truth: you photoshopped in the arm, right? Because that could only be the delicious, lovely, perfect arm of an angel!
