That first picture is excellent. It kind of begs you to make a calendar.
The second picture is why B&W works so well. The contract and shadows just wouldn’t be as dramatic in color.
In the third picture here, is Girlfriend wearing her jacket backwards? Because she had that jacket on in the last set of pictures but it buttoned down in front.
The fourth picture is amazing as well. You look larger than life. Meanwhile, the definition is so high that you can make out the Canon logo on your camera, the wicker baskets behind the stairs, and the clock (is it a cuckoo clock?) on the landing of the stairs.
crissy: the light is purposefully out–it’s unscrewed.
budgetary constraints have dictated that all eight 90w halogen bulbs in the recessed lighting be cut back to five. obviously you didn’t notice until you saw a picture.
stooge: i think (crissy may have to correct me on this) that what you’re seeing is a SET, in which the shirt and jacket/sweater match.
it is indeed a cuckoo clock–a really old one from crissy’s great grandma–but unfortunately it needs repairs. one of these days…
dingo: i’m ALWAYS happy to see you!
simon: thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! i probably will reshoot that “location” with a cleaner mirror in the near future.
you’ve got a nice site, too.. i really like what i’ve seen of your candid wedding work (never was a fan of the traditional posed stuff).
