Holy crap Ken; this has taken off a bit since I last visited. Nice work Sir.

My thanks again for the original WRX service manual that I pinched from you. It has been invaluble, even more so since I managed to get the speach recognition working on my laptop. Long gone are the days of thumb prints all over an ever deteriorating service manual. There are a few pages missing which is why I have returned. I see you’ve now broken it down into several different files, presumeably you were aware of the issue.

I now also have a PDF copy of the 1992 Legacy service manual which I don’t think I sourced through you. If you would like a copy to add to the collection feel free to e-mail me and I’ll forward it on. The entire copy is just under 10mb.

    Jules

  2. Jules, June 27, 2009:

scrap those last two lines in the first paragraph about missing pages etc. I’ve found them, and talking bollocks. Congratulations on the new addition to the family BTW. Well done Kristen.

  3. Anthony George, July 11, 2009:

  4. Clive Sugden, July 28, 2009:

I recently did a swap out of a 04 JDM STI to an 06 JDM STI, using the 06 harness, somehow the elec made a mess of it, the DCCD is currently not working. i thought it would have been a plug in affair as everything was from one car. I would like to get a 06 JDM wiring diagram. Hopefully it could be used to trace where it went wrong. Thanks.

  5. Joe, August 13, 2009:

Hey Ken, I just posted up almost all of the ’02-’09 WRX/STI service manuals as well as all of the ’02-’10 owner’s manuals on my site: http://www.wrxinfo.com Feel free to use it as a resource for you and anyone else looking for additional references.

  6. Ken, August 18, 2009:

on behalf of subie-heads everywhere… thanks joe!

  7. emi, August 20, 2009:

  8. seth, August 24, 2009:

  9. Nathan, September 13, 2009:

THANK YOU KEN! This wealth of information posted is invaluable. You’ve made my life much easier with these manuals!

  10. Jorge, September 30, 2009:

First and most THANK YOU, KEN. Glad a found service manual for my ’01 RS. I have one quick question from the manaul regarding replacing the drivebelts. For the p/s and alt belt it says to torque both bolts to specific lbs but on the a/c bolts it only states to tighten the lock bolt to that what about the adjuster bolt same torque as lock bolt or as for the p/s and alt?

  11. VamPirate, September 30, 2009:

You are definitely awesome! ’02 manual works wonders for the ’03 WRX.

  12. Eric, October 12, 2009:

I got a bunch of other manuals on my hdd if other people are looking for any of these

    93-96 Impreza
    97-98 Impreza
    99-01 Impreza
    2000 Impreza P1
    2006 Impreza
    01-02 WRX
    02-03 WRX
    04 STi

    03-04 Forester

    Subaru Technicians Reference Books
Subaru Parts Documents for a few years, nothing too special in these.

  13. Eric, October 12, 2009:

You don’t need to be very specific with torque specs on these parts. Just tighten it down with a wrench or a 3/8″ drive ratchet. Make it snug, no need to use body weight on these, maybe 30ft-lbs or something.

  14. Eric, October 12, 2009:

i got 01 forester manuals I was confused when I opened these up, but there is a section in it with 2.0 Turbo engine.

  15. Eric, October 12, 2009:

    add

2001 Forester w/Turbo From Forward in the Manual itself “Applied model: SF***** from 2001MY”

  16. Ken, October 14, 2009:

eric, do you want to upload them to my ftp server and host them here? i give credit where credit is due. 😉

    let me know..

    ken

  17. praz, October 20, 2009:

    hi

i have a my05 and would like to know which whole i can poke through to run the power cable through the engine to the inside of the car. do you have that type of information on your manauls.

  18. Eric, October 24, 2009:

    yeah, I can do that.

  19. Eric, October 25, 2009:

that type of information is not given in the manuals. the manuals are intended for people with a Good idea and/or formal training in the field of automotive repair…

That whole you can find next to your brake/gas/clutch pedal you will see a rubber plug (grommet) push it out and you have access.

  20. Eric, October 25, 2009:

    *hole

  21. Jeremy, November 26, 2009:

Eric, if you have the Technicians Reference Books for the 97-98 Impreza or any other sort of service manual, I would really apprieciate a link. Any sort of repair manual (Haneys/Chilton) for a 98′ Impreza (Outback Sport) is apparantly non existent…

    Thanks…

  22. Jeremy, November 28, 2009:

Actually, after some research, I haven’t really noticed much difference between the 1998 Legacy manual and the 99-01 Impreza manual posted here. Could one essentially use either of these to cover a 98′ Impreza? I’ve read that the mechanical layouts are very similar, and the Legacy and Impreza share the same 2.2 engine. any thoughts?

  23. kevin, December 6, 2009:

hey awesome info but do you have a set of wiring diagrams for a 2006 wrx and a 2006 sti?

  24. Eric, December 9, 2009:

possibly, but i wouldn’t rely on it for electrical stuff. The engine and transmissions are probably very similar if not the same.

  25. Eric, December 9, 2009:

    yes
click here for 06 impreza Size: 127MB

  26. Eric, December 12, 2009:

i killed the link, already transfered like 4GB in two days. google subaru service manual torrent and then download utorrent and you can get them that way.

  27. Ken, December 13, 2009:

    eric:

    i already snagged them.. 😉

  28. Eric, December 18, 2009:

okay. I put a bunch of service manuals on my site as well. take a look and grab what you want ken.

  29. Eric, December 18, 2009:

sorry, http://www.drivearu.com/ under the ‘information’ tab

  30. Imp2007, January 4, 2010:

Thanks a lot for the correct manuals. Finally, i find a good place for the “resources”.
Now i will easier find the problem of the secondary air-system.
