    Ken,
I really appreciate the information on the Subaru engines. I do not have a Subaru car but my plane is powered by an 2001 EJ22 With a 1993 computer system to avoid some of the inputs. Do you know if an intake (plastic) from a 2.5 liter will fit on the 2.2 liter. I need to lighten the engine up.
    Thanks
    Ellis

    ellis,

double check if the plastic manifold uses drive by wire throttle, if it makes a difference in your plane. i know all the current model plastic manifolds do, so keep an eye on model year.

also, according to this thread http://www.rs25.com/forums/f5/t112514-ej22-vs-ej25-comparasion.html the phase 1 ej22 intake manifold is NOT compatible with the phase 2 version. i’m not sure what you have. i am 99% sure the phase 2 version will bolt right up to a ej25 OR ej22.

    Dear Ken,
Incredible job on this and associated sites.
Do you have a source for the 03 Forester parts manual like the one for the Impreza??
Trying to find the specs on the rear wheel bearings on my sons 150K beauty, to challange the warranty company. It’s never easy.

Hi Ken, Was wondering , I have an 06 Subaru Legacey/ outback . The other day I was driving around a corner and ran up on to some icy snow and now my car only runs in rear wheel drive ? I checked for blown fueses but there are none in the passenger compartment or the engine compartment eaither. Nothing is making any sounds like there is something broken in the drive system. Could I have pulled a wire that controls the 4 wheel drive system ? And where would I look. I plan on lifting the car on a jack in the mornning but I really don’t know anything about the system ? I did down load the manual for the 06 Impreza , but not sure how different the drive trains are ? Thanks for your help , George
