Ken, I love your photos. I love the contrasts, the color, the lack of color, the emotion, the angles, the curves, the introspection, the impulsiveness…everything. Your photos are alive.

love this set…after the rain is one of my favorite times to shoot! great work on the leading lines/curves…some really nice compositions on these!

also, such a really sweet location! well done!

Just a beautiful set. Each of the pictures tells a story. I absolutely love the perversely straight road teeming with life on each side. It says “STOP AHEAD” but stretches on forever.

The shots on the curving walkway are all great, but that first one with Girlfriend running is just amazing. The B&W shots of the bald trees are incredible as well.

    Awesome shots.

The vibrancy of color in the first one is so darkly opposed to the black and white one of the similar scene – the last one. I love the contrast. Love it. And you know I like the movement ones. Apparently Charlotte never stands still. In that last one, I can just hear her “Come on!”

Ken, where is this place? Looks awesome.

that boardwalk was one of the most substantial and impressive i’ve ever seen. very nice workmanship. i plan to revisit it at various points during the year because picture ops are everywhere.

it’s a bit of a hike from the parking lot, but not too bad. i wouldn’t want to do it in a wedding dress.. 😉

I think I want blow ups of the two black and white tree pictures to put on our walls.

    They’re barren and depressing.

    Just like our home life.

    😉

WAIT! Who put that queer smiley on there?

  9. Ramdas, October 18, 2008:

What a lovely set, the boardwalk is impressive

do u live here if yes then u are lucky

  10. Ken, October 18, 2008:

ramdas, unfortunately i do not live that close to the boardwalk, but it IS rhode island, so your version of “close” and mine probably do not jive.

(rhode island is the smallest of the united states, and we are infamous for thinking anything over a 45 minute drive is an epic journey!) 🙂
