   Wow. Just wow. That first picture is achingly beautiful. Really.

   When I saw that last picture I immediately thought of Andrew Wyeth. It has the same feel but somehow there’s a vitality in the stillness that you’ve captured that I don’t see in his work.

   charlotte was sick and sleeping late that morning. i went in to check on her and saw the lovely light, and had to grab my camera.

   funny how the lens flare makes a little halo…

   pmac, thanks for stopping by.

   i’ve worked with film in the past, and i have a roll or two exposed and still to be developed, but i just can’t beat the convenience of digital.

   the vast majority of the shots i post here have been taken with my canon 20d, which i bought used a little over a year ago. before that i’d been using a series of sony point and shoots, before that a canon rebel 2s 35mm (starting in the early 90s), and before that my dad’s mid 60’s vintage nikon f2 photomic (on which i cut my teeth).

   never been exhibited in a gallery, but i get exhibited on the internet every day. 🙂

    i’ve actually had a naked pic on the net far longer than my wife.

    probably around 2000 or so. 😉

    and yes, the last picture is indeed a tonemapped HDR image. 🙂

    I love this picture of Crissy. And you’re right, I like it because of the expression. That, and the fact that her eyes are so damn gorgeous….
